A Little More Time
A cheerful, encouraging little song, written by Amanda Vaday, built on Galatians 6:9. When we get tired of doing good and feel like giving up, this is the gentle reminder God gives: don't grow weary, keep going, and at just the right time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up. Plucky banjo, bright kids' harmonies, and a happy, patient groove that says — give it a little more time.

Bible verse · Little lesson
A verse to hide in your heart
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Little lesson for little hearts
Have you ever planted a seed and wished it would grow into a flower the very next morning? It does not work that way — a seed needs time, and water, and sunshine, and a patient gardener who keeps caring for it even before anything shows. The Bible says doing good is a lot like that: "Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not" (Galatians 6:9). "Well doing" means the good things God gives us to do — being kind, telling the truth, helping at home, sharing about Jesus, loving people who are hard to love. Sometimes we do good for a while and get tired, because we do not see anything happen right away. This song is God's gentle answer: do not give up! "In due season" means at just the right time — God's time, which is always best — there will be a harvest. The very next verse says to keep doing good "as we have therefore opportunity… unto all men" (Galatians 6:10). And we never grow tired alone: we keep going by trusting Jesus, "for it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13). So be patient, keep doing the good work, and leave the harvest with Him. Give it a little more time — you will reap.
